Born in India and raised in the U.S., George started his creative path with a BSA Degree in Industrial Design. After receiving the 1993 Best of Show Award from the Industrial Design Society of America, his career started as a conceptual vehicle designer for Chrysler and Ford Motors.
George's dreams for film design became a reality when Lucasfilm's ILM took notice of his talent and offered him a position on their creative team.
From 1994 to 1999 George moved quickly to becoming one of ILM's lead Visual Effects Art Directors. His work at ILM spans over 15 films including JURASSIC PARK: THE LOST WORLD, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, the special editions of the STAR WARS TRILOGY and the Oscar winning FOREST GUMP.
In 2000, the visionary Matrix directors hired George to help realize their mythological and futuristic world. This grand undertaking spanned 4 years as George became an integral part of the film's visual development team. After completing pre-production, he followed up as Creative Director at ESC Entertainment. Painting highly detailed keyframes for hundreds of shots, Hull's art direction served as valuable guides for composition, color and lighting. His contributions include initial shot layouts, art directing miniature model construction and lighting, all the way through the digital cinematography of final shots.
George's unique abilities in drawing and painting and his technical experience in special effects have made him a leading artist in the entertainment industry. He currently works from his home studio in Berkeley California, freelancing visual development and as time permits working in his own fine art.
